you know what I’m feeling really cynical right now and i’m sick of getting my little queer hopes up so this is my prediction:

i predict Supernatural will pull a Merlin with Destiel. Not in terms of one of them dying at the end and the other waiting for them for 2000 years  (although that isn’t impossible but PLEASE NO I CAN’T GO THROUGH THAT AGAIN)

but rather in terms of having Destiel have an open ended ending with plenty of declarations of love and plenty of extremely romantic moments but nothing explicitly making clear that it’s canon i.e. a kiss, them confessing they love each other romantically etc.

So no new ground is not gonna be broken. Dean won’t be canonically bisexual and Destiel won’t be a couple. Just a couple of dudes with an open-ended story that anyone can interpret without offending those who are offended. It’ll be the same old.

If I turn out to be wrong and Destiel does go canon, I will eat my words. Like, I will literally print this post out on paper and eat it.
